Euro Atlantic Diplomacy Society was collaborating with the Canada NATO Field School to organize the 2019 Transatlantic Edition of Model NATO Youth Summit.

The conference took place between 3-6 July 2019 in Bucharest, Romania and involved 45 students from Canada and 45 students from other NATO member and partner states. Transatlantic MoNYS featured three main components: briefings, simulations of decision-making processes and a study trip to the Mihail Kogalniceanu Airbase.

The NATO simulation focused on Hybrid Warfare and an Article 5 crisis, being overseen by Professor Alexander Moens, a Canadian academic and published NATO expert. The conference also featured a series of briefings from NATO officials, Canadian officials and military officers, as well as Romanian officials.

The event was organized with the support of the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, Embassy of Canada to Romania, and Simon Fraser University.
