Objective:

In recent years, climate change has led to extreme weather conditions in the Pannonian Biogeographical Area (PBA), with droughts becoming more frequent, severe, and prolonged. To address these adaptation challenges, the project has been developed to provide targeted solutions for the PBA. Its objectives include designing, testing, and validating practical, systemic approaches applicable to four key agricultural subsectors:

  1. The water-food nexus
  2. Agroforestry
  3. Organic crop production
  4. Cattle farming.
